Girls Track: Chelsea 78, Lincoln 59 -- Chelsea out performed Lincoln in the throws, jumps, and distance events. Outstanding performances were made by Sydney Matusik running the 4x800 relay, 1600m, and 800m, which all resulted in 1st places. Also, Riley Davis won the high jump; Jenna Gileczek won the pole vault. In throws, Jordan Holton and Lily Francisco placed 1st and 2nd in shot and discus. Our next meet is the Whitmore Lake Relays on Friday.
Boys Track: Chelsea 95, Lincoln 42 -- My comments: We improved to 3-0 on the season with a clear win over Lincoln. We really did show improvement across the board, as we won 12 of 13 individual events. The hurdle victories by Hunter White and Cole Septer were crucial, our senior sprinters ran some outstanding times, and once again the distance squad was dominant. We still need some improvement in a few field events if we are to beat Adrian next week, but we are headed in the right direction. Thanks again to all those who came out, supported us, and helped put on another nice meet.
