Chelsea 0, Dexter 0 -- F (Tie)
The Lady Bulldogs, playing without 6 injured players - 4 of them seniors, drew against #6 Ranked Dexter 0-0. Dexter controlled much of the play and created the games most dangerous opportunities. That didn't stop the Bulldogs from holding Dexter to zero goals in the game. Junior goalkeeper Emily Griggs stood on her head in this game. Faced with 12 shots on goal Emily denied them all. Her highlight of the night came with about 5 mins to play when a ball hit a Chelsea defender in the arm inside the penalty area which awarded Dexter with a Penalty Kick. Dexter's player stepped up, shot the ball and Emily make a fantastic diving dive to push the shot wide and hold the clean sheet. This was a total team effort. Everyone of them on the field today played for each other. Our injured players or "crip crew" as they've labeled themselves played the most important role for the team today as the 12th man from the bench. The parents and fans from Chelsea that came out to support really helped make it a great environment to play in. Chelsea is now 11-4-2 on the season and plays their next game Tuesday at home against the Maples from Adrian.
